All sorts of companies do market research to find out what the public think and need a wide cross section of people to participate. You can find out about sessions in your local area through agencies and internet sites. Focus groups can be especially good as they pay well and often in cash.

Event Work

If you want the option of regular work but with a flexible schedule then working at events can be a good option. Whether it is a local sporting arena or event venue, they will need a variety of staff including waiters, stewards and bar staff. This type of work often has the added bonus of getting to see great events for free. You can either work directly for the venue or through an agency and big tips can top up your daily rate greatly.

Get Selling

Everybody has junk lying around their house that they don’t need anymore and as they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. So find that man and you could make some money through your unwanted items. The traditional way to do this is by setting up a stall at a car boot sale but now, with Ebay thriving, it is even easier to do. Set up an account, write a description, add a photo and wait for people to start bidding.

Extra, Extra!

This is probably the most fun way of making some extra money. Get dressed up, rub shoulders with the stars and indulge your dreams of being an actor. Being an extra is not very glamorous though and you may have to hang around for a lot and work long days, but it can be worth it just to catch that 2 second glimpse of yourself on screen!
